HOW?

You can assemble a short term missions team from your church to go to Haiti and build a home in a location where it is most needed as determined by Bethanie in Haiti.

You can choose to financially and prayerfully support a team already planning to go to build.

You can let us know you would like to join a team already scheduled to go to Haiti.

We can provide information on putting together a team from your church, provide the floor plan, promote your trip here on this website once it is established and scheduled, and make sure you are well connected to the contact you will work with on the ground In Haiti.

Why does building a home for a Bethanie Pastor in a community matter?

On average the cost to rent housing each year for a pastor and his family can be as much as $12,000.00 a year.  This is a huge expense and burden on the ministry, as well as the pastor and his family.  By building a house on property already owned by Bethanie Mission of Haiti, that burden can be eliminated to allow the ministry to focus it’s monthly finances in targeting evangelism and assistance to those in need.  This results in greater growth for the church in a community.  Typically a pastor’s home can be built for what it cost to rent a home for one year.

The average cost associated with building a pastor’s home is $12,000+/- depending on location.

HELP US ESTABLISH A PRESENCE IN A HURTING COMMUNITY

Short term mission teams can come to build a church in a hurting community, that becomes a beacon of light for all who live there.

Constructing a church building in the heart of a community is a powerful tool for the Kingdom of God in Haiti.  It serves as a rallying point in the community for many positive things.  Communities are transformed when they finally are able to have a gathering place for worship.  It has a ripple effect that can literally be seen after it becomes established.  There is a church presence in a community meeting in homes before there is ever a building, but time has shown us that growth, as well as influence, increases once an official building is established.

BUILD A SCHOOL IN A NEEDY COMMUNITY

Short term mission teams can come to build a school in a needy community, that equips the next generation for the future of Haiti.

Children being able to receive a quality education is essential if Haiti as a nation is going to have a more promising future.  Kids graduating from Bethanie Schools have gone on to achieve great things.  Some have become successful business men or women, some lawyers etc.  This is accomplished while making sure they have a Christian worldview and quality Biblical education to go along with their academics.  Bethanie Schools have been highly successful at producing kids with an opportunity to rise up beyond the status quo around them.  The average cost associated with building a school is $15,000+/- depending on location.(Cost includes purchase of all materials needed for construction project from start to finish)  Transportation cost for teams of 8 or less is $600 round trip from airport in Port Au Prince.Transportation costs for groups of 9 or more is $1200 round trip from airport in Port Au Prince. *Depending on building location, additional transportation costs may occur between guest house and building location.

Short term mission teams can come to build church pews, and facilitate a real need for our fellow brothers in Christ. This is a great opportunity for teens as well.
